Job Summary:

Aldi UK is seeking an experienced and motivated Store Operations Manager to join our team. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Store Manager in the day-to-day operations of our stores, while also developing your leadership skills and contributing to the success of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Store Manager: Assist with the management of store operations, including inventory management, stock control, and customer service.
  • Leadership Development: Develop your leadership skills by mentoring and guiding a team of retail professionals, providing coaching and feedback to ensure excellent customer service and sales performance.
  • Operational Efficiency: Analyze and improve store operations to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer experience.
  • Team Management: Lead and motivate a team of retail professionals to achieve sales targets, improve customer satisfaction, and maintain a high level of store appearance and maintenance.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with store staff, Store Manager, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless store operations and achieve business objectives.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience in a retail management role, with a strong track record of leadership and team management.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of retail professionals.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of retail operations, including inventory management, stock control, and customer service.
  • Education: Relevant qualifications in retail management or a related field.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive Salary: £35,625 - £43,440 per annum, depending on experience.
  • Flexible Working Hours: 40 or 45-hour contracts, with flexible working hours to suit your needs.
  • Annual Leave: 4 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays, rising to 5 weeks after 2 years.
