**About the Role**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Company Secretary to join our dynamic team at DMJ Recruitment. As a key member of our corporate governance team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the company's compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- **Board and Committee Support**: Provide administrative support to the board and committees, including the Group Risk Committee (GRC) and regulated entity boards.
- **Annual Report & Accounts**: Take responsibility for certain sections of the Annual Report & Accounts and oversee the collation of information by junior team members.
- **AGM Delivery**: Work closely with the Company Secretariat Assistant to ensure the successful delivery of the Annual General Meeting (AGM).
- **Subsidiary Accounts**: Lead the annual subsidiary accounts process for UK regulated and other subsidiary entities.
- **Share Schemes**: Manage share schemes and related activities.
- **Stakeholder Engagement**: Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, providing information and support, and promoting the company's governance and secretarial processes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar role within a listed company or financial services firm.
- Strong understanding of corporate law and governance.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Chartered Governance Institute qualification (ICSA) or working towards it.
