Role Overview: As part of the rapid growth of our Historic Environment Team, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Heritage Consultant to join us at a Principal Level.

We are looking for enthusiastic professionals with a solid background in archaeology and heritage, eager to advance their careers through involvement in major development projects.

This position offers flexibility, allowing for remote work with occasional office attendance as needed.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert consultancy advice on heritage matters.
  • Produce and oversee the creation of desk-based assessments and heritage statements.
  • Collaborate as part of an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) team, particularly on large-scale residential, commercial, and renewable energy projects.
  • Author Cultural Heritage Environmental Statements.
  • Prepare proofs of evidence and written representations for planning appeals.
  • Work closely with colleagues across various disciplines.

Qualifications: A comprehensive understanding of relevant local and national planning policies and legislation is essential. Experience at public inquiry level is advantageous.
