Flagship Consulting is seeking an experienced and ambitious Principal Historic Environment Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our Historic Environment Team, you will play a crucial role in providing expert advice on heritage matters to our clients.

About the Role

We are looking for a commercially aware and talented individual with a background in archaeology and heritage. You will have experience of working on large-scale development projects, including residential, commercial, and renewable energy schemes. Your expertise will include authoring Cultural Heritage Environmental Statements and providing proofs of evidence and written representations for planning appeals.

You will work closely with our team across disciplines, advising on relevant local and national planning policy and legislation. Experience at public inquiry level is desirable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide consultancy advice on heritage matters to clients
  • Author and manage the production of desk-based assessments and heritage statements
  • Work as part of an EIA team on large-scale development projects
  • Advise on relevant local and national planning policy and legislation
