Job Title: Engineering Manager - Product Safety

Location: Flexible working arrangements available.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join our team and support the production of the safety Build Assurance Justification. The successful candidate will have strong stakeholder management skills and experience working with senior board levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and ascertain the appropriateness of the Safety Argument and Safety Evidence provided by BAE and ensure that the platform is being built to design intent.
  • Liaise with the Barrow Safety Assurance Manager on any concessions where the Platform build differs from design intent.
  • Act as the MOD technical liaison with Platform and Nuclear Propulsion build committees.
  • Provide the safety interface with the propulsion/reactor/ships/weapons Test Groups.

Requirements:

  • Strong stakeholder management skillsets and experiences with senior board levels.
  • Programme management experience.
  • Previous experience in build assurance or maritime platforms of complex systems.
  • Good experience of technical risk management/governance procedures.
  • Degree within a STEM subject.
