Tax and Treasury Lead

Pinpoint Resourcing is collaborating with a dynamic construction firm to identify a Tax and Treasury Lead with robust tax expertise, comprehensive knowledge of VAT, and a keen interest in treasury operations.

This position is ideal for professionals currently engaged in tax advisory roles within practice, seeking to transition into the corporate sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the tax compliance framework and coordinate tax analysis processes.
  • Identify and claim capital allowances throughout the fiscal year, engaging tax advisors for complex claims, including potential R&D claims.
  • Manage all VAT-related responsibilities, including the preparation, review, and submission of VAT returns, VAT elections, and addressing issues related to acquisitions and sales.
  • Handle all tax-related aspects during the integration of corporate acquisitions.
  • Stay informed on legislative changes, including Corporate Finance Act implications for the organization.
  • Collaborate closely with the Payroll Manager on monthly payroll processes, PAYE/NI, PSA settlements, HMRC correspondence, and share schemes.
Treasury Management:

Administer the daily treasury operations by overseeing group cash flow and managing loan drawdowns and repayments as necessary.

Provide strategic advice on cash investments and implement procedures to optimize financial value.

Organize payments related to interest, dividends, taxes, and payroll.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a tax advisory capacity.
  • A strong desire to embrace and learn treasury responsibilities.
