Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned manager with NHS experience to lead the development of the Canalside Primary Care Network. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing staff, budgets, and IT systems to support the network's objectives and improve patient outcomes.

Main Responsibilities
  • Act as the first point of contact for all incoming information and queries related to the PCN.
  • Oversee the management and delivery of the PCN Network DES requirements.
  • Provide administrative support to members of the network, including the review and approval of payments.
  • Process ARRS Claims using the national portal and in accordance with the requirements of the PCN DES.
  • Review the PCN's digital maturity and recommend optimization of new technologies to enhance patient access and efficiency.
  • System manage EMIS Community Clinics for all ARRS roles.
  • Produce activity and performance reports for the PCN Board.
  • Coordinate PCN Board meetings, including setting dates, drawing up agendas, and communicating decisions to the wider PCN.

Canalside PCN is a network of seven GP practices serving a population of 47,000 patients. We are looking for a manager to help drive the development of the PCN and its services.

Person Specification
  • Degree-level education, management qualification, or equivalent management experience.
  • Knowledge of working in a business environment, including finance and HR.
  • Previous NHS experience, including primary care.
  • Desirable: experience of project management.
