About the Role

Wellfield Health Centre is seeking a highly skilled and experienced manager to join our team as a PCN Operations Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to lead the development of our Primary Care Network and project manage the services we provide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage staff, budgets, and DES targets to support the PCN and its member practices in achieving their objectives and improving outcomes for patients.
  • Work closely with the PCN Clinical Director and Practice Management team to develop and implement strategies for the network.
  • Lead on digital transformation projects to improve access to care and enable PCN staff to work more effectively to support primary care services.
  • Act as a central information and administrative resource for members of the network.
  • Support the nominated practice with the administration of PCN finances, including the review and approval of payments for processing.
  • Process ARRS Claims using the national portal and in accordance with the requirements of the PCN DES.
  • Review the PCN's digital maturity and recommend optimisation of new technologies to enhance patient access and efficiency within the PCN and member practices.
  • System Management of EMIS Community Clinics for all ARRS roles.
  • Produce activity and performance reports for the PCN Board.
  • Coordinate PCN Board meetings, including setting dates, drawing up agendas, taking minutes, and communicating decisions to the wider PCN.

About Us

Wellfield Health Centre is a network of seven GP practices working in Rochdale and Middleton serving a population of 47,000 patients. We are looking for a manager to help drive development of the PCN and its services.

Person Specification

  • Degree level education, management qualification, or equivalent management experience.
  • Knowledge of working in a business environment to include finance and HR.
  • Previous NHS experience to include Primary Care.
  • Desirable: Experience of project management.
