At Blockchain, we are crafting a cutting-edge crypto ecosystem tailored for institutional clients, encompassing trading, lending, custody, staking, and DeFi services. We are actively seeking seasoned Back-End Engineers to enhance our expanding Development Community. In this capacity, you will engage in the creation of next-generation software systems designed to address the increasing demands of the cryptocurrency and blockchain sectors.

Since our inception in 2017, Blockchain has successfully operated an Institutional business, serving as a key strategic capital partner to major trading, investment, and mining firms within the crypto landscape. We provide a range of services including lending, OTC and electronic trading, custody, asset management funds, and various financial products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with fellow Engineers and leadership to devise innovative software solutions for our global institutional cryptocurrency operations.
  • Design, develop, and take ownership of high-performance backend solution stacks.
  • Enhance and optimize existing systems for scalability, extensibility, and performance.
  • Contribute to inter-team and cross-team initiatives to uphold technology and coding standards, ensuring adherence to optimal software design patterns.
  • Stay informed about the latest and emerging technologies in the blockchain and tech domains.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
  • Familiarity with Unix-like operating systems.
  • 1 - 7 years of experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Preferred experience in developing trading-related backend applications.
  • A natural curiosity and a solid understanding of software engineering principles.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Interest in both traditional finance and cryptocurrency markets.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in modern backend technologies such as Python-Flask/FastAPI, JavaScript or TypeScript, SQL, and Redis.
  • Willingness to work with Rust or learn it.
  • Knowledge of additional technologies like CI/CD, C/C++, and Solidity is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing services (e.g., AWS, GCP) is a plus.
  • Understanding the fundamentals of spot, futures, and options trading is beneficial.
