Position Overview:

In this role, you will be engaged in the production of low volume, high-precision components, working with materials that include Aluminium and Nickel-based alloys.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Machining parts with diameters ranging from 0.6 to 2.2 meters.
  • Programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines, including the validation of new programs.
  • Ensuring components are machined accurately and punctually to meet stringent quality standards.
  • Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and organization within the workspace.
  • Adhering to route card instructions and completing all necessary documentation in line with company protocols.
  • Interpreting and understanding complex engineering schematics.
  • Utilizing and interpreting workshop measurement tools.
  • Performing in-cycle deburring of components as required.
  • Conducting regular maintenance checks on equipment as necessary.
  • Identifying and proposing opportunities for process improvements.
  • Accurately recording all working hours, both direct and indirect.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Completion of an apprenticeship, time-served, NVQ level 3, or higher qualification.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a precision machining environment.
  • Preferred familiarity with control systems such as Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain, or Mazatrol.
  • Experience in industries such as Nuclear, Power Generation, or Aerospace.
  • Proven track record of working to high precision tolerances.
  • Experience with a diverse range of materials.
