Job Title: Toolmaker Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Toolmaker Specialist to join our team at Billy Associates LTD. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating precision tools and dies for our manufacturing production process.

Main Responsibilities:

• Read engineering drawings to produce parts required using lathes, drills, milling machines, and grinding machines.
• Conduct test runs with completed tools or dies to ensure that parts meet specifications; adjust as necessary.
• Fabricate and assemble parts to make, repair, or modify dies, jigs, gauges, and tools, using machine tools and hand tools.
• Set up and operate conventional, CNC, or NC machine tools to cut, bore, grind, or otherwise shape parts to given tolerances and specifications.
• Inspect finished dies and calibrators for correct fittings, surface finish, contour conformity, and defects.

Key Skills and Knowledge:

• Ability to problem solve.
• Basic numeracy, literacy, and ICT skills.
• Good communication and listening skills.
• Good attention to detail and hand to eye co-ordination.
• Ability to use precise measuring instruments.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, especially the uPVC industry.
