**Role Overview:**

As the Assistant Head of Department, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head of Department in managing and enhancing the curriculum across our Multi-Skills & Trowel Trades areas, which include Construction Multi-Skills, Property Maintenance Operations, and Bricklaying. You will be instrumental in ensuring that our students receive a high-quality learning experience that fosters achievement and success.

  • Develop and implement curriculum plans to meet the needs of students and industry partners.
  • Lead and manage a team of academic staff to deliver high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and maintain strong industry relationships and partnerships.
  • Contribute to the development of college policies and procedures related to curriculum and teaching.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Travel between college campuses as needed to support teaching and learning.
  • Participate in college-wide initiatives and projects to improve teaching and learning.
  • Contribute to the development of college marketing materials and promotional activities.

**Qualifications and Skills Required:**

  • Extensive teaching experience in a Construction-related field.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with experience of leading teams and managing budgets.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with students, staff, and industry partners.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
