About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Simulation and Modelling Engineer to join our team at MBDA, a leading provider of missile and system performance assessment solutions. As a key member of our Simulation & Modelling department, you will be responsible for developing and integrating subsystems to form complex numerical models.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop component models using Matlab and Simulink
  • Integrate models/components from external sources
  • Develop a modelling framework/environment for use across the business
  • Perform technical analyses and investigations into various issues and problems
  • Prepare and develop solutions individually or as part of a team
  • Engage with model users to understand their needs and ensure the model is fit for purpose
  • Participate in peer review of work across the team
Requirements
  • Programming experience or eagerness to learn
  • Forward thinking, planning, and critical thinking
  • Clear and concise communication skills
  • Curious and adaptable
Desirable Skills
  • Experience of programming in MATLAB and Simulink
  • Experience with configuration control
  • Experience of working within a system-of-systems framework
  • Experience of working with external model suppliers
  • An understanding of modelling and software development processes
