JOB TITLE: Senior Professional Business Analyst - Insurance

LOCATION: Remote UK-based Flexible Working with travel as required

TYPE: Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hours per week)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team, playing a crucial role in bridging the gap between technology solutions and intricate business strategies.

As a Business Analyst with a focus on the London Market Insurance sector, you will act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders. Your role will involve comprehensive analysis of market trends, internal objectives, and client requirements. You will be the primary resource for aligning technology solutions with business goals across various complex accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designs and recommends business processes to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Documents and analyzes client business requirements, creating conceptual data models and process frameworks.
  • Develops test scenarios and plans to ensure that business applications meet client specifications, analyzing results throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Contributes to system modifications by providing business specifications that align with client needs.
  • Facilitates client meetings to gather requirements and explore viable solutions.
  • Coordinates business analyst activities on IT projects and supports team members.
  • Participates in technical reviews to ensure project changes align with original intents.
  • Provides time estimates for project-related tasks.
  • Assists in developing methods to evaluate whether business objectives align with organizational needs.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • Preferred degree in business administration, information systems, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in business analysis.
  • Familiarity with the intersection of IT and functional business groups.
  • Experience in business process analysis and re-engineering.
  • Understanding of programming concepts and basic programming languages.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members.
  • Knowledge of London Market systems and claims/premium submission processes.
  • Familiarity with global messaging standards such as EDI or ACORD.
  • Experience in digital transformation initiatives.
  • Understanding of state transitions and workflows in message exchanges.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to present information effectively to management and clients.
  • Proficient in business solutions software and personal computing.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
