Job Title: Children's and Family Support Worker - Community Substance Abuse Services

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced M-PACT Worker to join our team at P4 Recruitment Ltd. This role involves delivering vital support to families with children whose parents are struggling with substance misuse across Essex.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver the M-PACT programme to families across Essex, ensuring high-quality service delivery and successful outcomes for children and their parents.
  • Liaise with partner agencies to generate and receive appropriate referrals, assessing the suitability of families for the M-PACT programme.
  • Manage and maintain client records, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information, and safeguard vulnerable adults and children by identifying and reporting concerns.
  • Recruit, train, and support facilitators for the programme, facilitating family conferences and ensuring ongoing care and support plans for clients post-programme.
  • Participate in regular progress reviews and staff support sessions, engaging in personal and professional development to continually enhance skills.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Experience working with families in community or residential care/support services, with strong skills in needs and risk assessments.
  • Experience in facilitating groups, workshops, and structured family meetings, with knowledge of the 12-step programme, motivational enhancement, and cognitive-behavioural interventions.
  • Ability to maintain empathy while upholding professional boundaries, with excellent organizational skills and a solid understanding of data protection legislation.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and continuous professional development, with an open and non-judgemental attitude towards clients and their families.
  • Familiarity with safeguarding protocols and incident reporting, with experience using electronic case management systems.
  • Ability to assess client needs and connect them with appropriate services.
