Job Title: LSA/TA/SEND Support/Youth Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Assistant/Teaching Assistant to join our team at a special needs school in Wickford. The successful candidate will have a strong desire to make a positive impact on the lives of children with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD).

About the Role:

This is a full-time, temporary to permanent opportunity (8:30am - 3:30pm) that requires a friendly and positive approach to teaching and learning. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to build strong relationships with children, and have a willingness to learn and develop their skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support students with MLD in small groups or on a 1:1 basis to improve engagement, interaction, and attainment.
  • Work closely with parents to ensure consistency between school and home.
  • Develop and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to plan and deliver engaging lessons.
Requirements:
  • No prior school experience required.
  • Graduates, support workers, healthcare assistants, youth workers, or personal experience accepted.
  • Driving Licence and access to a car would be ideal.
