  • Conducting one-on-one supervision sessions in accordance with established standards.
  • Contributing to team meetings to enhance communication and professional development.
  • Ensuring adherence to organizational policies and quality standards.
  • Assisting in the recruitment and onboarding of new staff members.
  • Supervising new hires throughout their initial training period.
  • Fostering a management approach that balances control with empowering staff decision-making.
  • Identifying and addressing individual training needs as part of staff development plans.
  • Conducting annual performance evaluations for team members.
  • Addressing any issues related to staff conduct and performance.
  • Carrying out management investigations when necessary.
  • Supporting the Registered Manager in promoting staff development through appropriate delegation.

General Duties:

  • Assisting in the implementation of the organizational mission and objectives.
  • Facilitating in-house training workshops on childcare topics to enhance practice.
  • Driving company vehicles in accordance with policies.
  • Working on a flexible schedule based on the needs of the young individuals.
  • Ensuring proper allocation of resources and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Participating in supervision sessions to foster personal and professional growth.
  • Completing other reasonable tasks as directed by management.
  • Stepping in for the Registered Manager or Deputy Manager when required.

Resource Management:

  • Ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet the needs of the facility.
  • Effectively managing budgets and monitoring financial activities.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and regular upkeep of company vehicles.
  • Monitoring the facility's condition and addressing any necessary repairs.

Operational Efficiency:

  • Collaborating with staff and young individuals to establish routines that support care practices.
  • Clarifying expectations for maintaining a clean and organized environment.
  • Creating shift schedules that accommodate the needs of the children and ensure smooth transitions.
  • Implementing appropriate reporting and record-keeping systems to comply with quality standards.
  • Handling administrative tasks related to the facility and providing management reports as needed.
