Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Specialist to join our team at Storal. As an Assistant Cook, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious meals for our children and ensuring the safe and hygienic management of our nursery kitchen.
About the Role:
- Develop and implement menus that cater to the dietary needs of our children, including those with specific requirements.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations, including those set by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health and Ofsted.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Manage inventory and ensure stock rotation to minimize waste and optimize resources.
- Collaborate with the Cook to ensure seamless kitchen operations and provide support in their absence.
- Stay up-to-date with COSHH guidelines and ensure adherence to relevant regulations.
About You:
- Hold a Level 2 Food and Hygiene certification.
- Have a minimum of 6 months' experience in a similar role.
- Be familiar with Health and Safety regulations and COSHH guidelines.
- Embody the Storal values of responsibility, openness, and teamwork.
