Job Title: Site Manager

Job Summary:

Challenge-trg Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join our team. As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of one of our blue-chip contracts, ensuring a high-quality consistent service is delivered to meet client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the contract from recruitment to operational delivery, building effective client relationships.
  • Meet with the client on a weekly basis to review SLA/KPIs and consistently achieve weekly KPIs.
  • Monitor, forecast, and report on the financial performance of the site.
  • Line manage the onsite team, including motivation, target setting, and development.
  • Oversee the daily implementation of the operational plan and provide regular updates and timely escalation of risk/issues to the line manager.
  • Translate strategic and longer-term objectives of Challenge-trg Recruitment Ltd into feasible and understandable solutions for the onsite team.
  • Build strong client relationships and create a positive client perception of Challenge-trg Recruitment Ltd.
  • Fully understand client requirements and ensure they are fulfilled consistently.
  • Recruit production staff and other staff locally to meet demands, accountable for the calibre of workers selected.
  • Coordinate with the Operations/Recruitment Team for advertising and marketing needs.
  • Plan and organize the assessment process for all production staff.
  • Accountable for overall compliance at sites and ensure plans for contingencies are in place.
  • Complete costings accurately for worker's pay on a weekly basis.
  • Effectively manage staff, including absence, pay queries, performance, retention, and undertake investigations and conduct disciplinary/grievances as required.
  • Plan and organize the induction process for new starters.
  • Responsible for accurate accident reporting and any insurance/claim issues that may arise.
  • Maximize all opportunities onsite and reduce spend wherever possible.

Person Specification:

  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent.
  • Proven experience of contract management, ideally in the Food Production environment.
  • Experience of building effective client relationships at all levels.
  • Experienced and successful at management and delivering results.
  • Presentation, selling, and negotiation skills, together with the ability to produce results.
  • Experience of working with various reporting and forecasting tools.
  • Strong people management skills and the ability to motivate and encourage good team work.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with a variety of stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Self-driven, proactive, and results-oriented, with a positive outlook, a clear focus on quality and business profit.
  • Outstanding numerical and budgeting skills.
  • Uses own initiative and good judgement to make decisions.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Very good computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and encourage good team work.
  • Be analytical and methodical in your approach to problems.
  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
  • The ability to effectively handle a busy and varied workload, meet tight deadlines, and prioritize effectively.
