Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to join our Community Mental Health Services team at Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust. As an Administrative Assistant, you will provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to the multi-disciplinary team, ensuring the highest level of customer care and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the team, maintaining confidentiality and dealing sensitively with complex information.
  • Receive and respond to incoming telephone calls, taking messages and making follow-up calls as necessary.
  • Maintain established administrative systems, including regular input into electronic systems.
  • Provide administrative support to the management team, including staff sickness reporting and annual leave via the e-rostering system.
  • Undertake additional projects as identified by the Admin Manager.

Requirements:

  • GCSE level or equivalent in Maths and English.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to deal effectively with difficult situations, including aggressive behavior and language.
  • RSA Stage 2 Audio Typing and relevant experience.
  • Advanced keyboard and touch-typing skills.
  • General administration experience, good telephone manner, and typing skills.
