Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at ESS. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of the kitchen and staff in the absence of the Head Chef.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management: Ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen, including inventory management, food preparation, and presentation.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate kitchen staff to achieve high standards of quality and service.
  • Quality Control: Monitor and maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene.
  • Staff Development: Provide guidance and training to kitchen staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent role in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Skills: Excellent culinary skills, leadership abilities, and strong communication skills.
  • Education: Formal culinary training or equivalent experience.

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 5 days over 7.

Hourly Rate: £15.20 per hour.
