Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Category Manager to join our team at Focus Management Consultants. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for leading the development, execution, and management of procurement strategies for various spend categories.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve cost savings, improve quality, and enhance innovation.
- Manage and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best possible terms and conditions.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective communication.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of procurement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in category management within the manufacturing industry.
- CIPD qualification or equivalent.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Working knowledge of SAP S4 Hana or equivalent.
