About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatrician to join our team as a Community Consultant Paediatrician. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality care to children and families in the Mid Nottinghamshire area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver general community paediatric clinics in the Mid Nottinghamshire area, with a focus on the Mansfield/Ashfield area, and potentially Newark and Ollerton.
  • Participate in daytime (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm) child protection on-call for social care requested medical assessments (section 47) for physical abuse on a rota basis.
  • Consider special interests and skills of applicants, and potentially take on additional duties such as safeguarding, neuro-disability/SEND, appraisal/supervision, and teaching.
Requirements
  • MRCPCH by examination or equivalent.
  • Full GMC registration.
  • On the GMC's Specialist Register OR within six months of CCT at time of scheduled interview.
  • Broad experience of all clinical aspects of community child health, including neuro-disability.
  • Valid Level 3 Safeguarding Training.
