Quantity Surveyor Opportunity in South London

Trevett Project Services is working with a leading construction company in South London to source a Quantity Surveyor.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading new build residential projects across South London, working closely with the Commercial Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare a monthly commercial and financial report by work stream, demonstrating the contract's position.
  2. Monitor direct costs and overheads, ensuring profitability is maintained.
  3. Procure and onboard subcontractors, ensuring smooth project execution.
  4. Regularly check and value subcontractors' work, agreeing valuations and producing payment certificates.
  5. Attend contract meetings, providing necessary information.
  6. Assist Site and Project Managers in identifying and recording variations, briefing them on required actions.

About the Role:

  1. Proven experience in a commercial capacity, working in the Social Housing sector as a principal and/or main contractor across new build schemes.
  2. Knowledge of Modern Methods of Construction (MMC).
  3. Experience working with typical pricing agreements and frameworks.
  4. Experience measuring works, generating and agreeing applications.
  5. Experience reviewing, validating, and approving subcontractor quotations and variations.
