Job Opportunity: Behaviour Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join our team at GSL Education. As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals and small groups of children with SEMH and additional challenging behaviour. You must be able to build strong relationships with young people and children, and be resilient, calm, and able to de-escalate potentially volatile situations.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • Improving the behaviour and wellbeing of individual pupils
  • Supporting pupils with learning difficulties
  • Establishing meaningful positive relationships with pupils
  • Supporting pupils inside and outside of the classroom
  • Helping pupils increase their confidence and self-esteem
