Job Overview:


Supporting Pupils with SEMH

GSL Education is currently seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to work with a vibrant school in Leicester. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals and small groups of children with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. You will be working with pupils on a 1:1 basis and at times, within small groups as well.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with pupils, ensuring their safety and well-being.

  • Support pupils in developing their social, emotional and behavioural skills.

  • Work with pupils to devise and implement strategies to improve their behaviour and wellbeing.

  • Provide individualised support to pupils to help them overcome learning difficulties.

  • Support the teaching team in promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.


Requirements:


  • Experience working with pupils with SEMH and challenging behaviour.

  • Ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic approach to supporting pupils.
