Work Environment
We are on the lookout for a Senior Support Worker to become part of our newly established supported living initiative. In this role, you will assist adults diagnosed with Autism, Mental Health challenges, and Learning Disabilities in achieving independence within the community. You will receive all essential training locally before engaging with the individuals we support.
As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the lives of those we serve. If you are passionate about helping others, you will appreciate the balance of managerial responsibilities and direct support, while also advancing your own career through valuable experience and training.
Key Responsibilities
Our service, St Barts, requires team-oriented individuals who can motivate others. The Senior Support Worker will collaborate with the management team to provide frontline support to Support Workers in their daily tasks, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures while facilitating the induction of new staff. Responsibilities include managing schedules, supervising staff, coaching team members, and ensuring high-quality support for those we assist.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Applicants must possess prior experience in Support Work or Health Care and have the ability to drive.
Additionally, you should be:
- Compassionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated
- Adaptable, patient, and open-minded
- A proactive team player with abundant energy
- Capable of demonstrating effective communication skills
- Able to perform the physical demands of the role, including manual handling

Training and Development Opportunities

- Level 2 and 3 Lead Adult Care Worker
- Level 3 Operational Team Leader
- Level 5 Management and Leadership
Please note that training will commence after the completion of a 6-month probation period. Once training begins, you will be assigned a coach to guide you through your program.
