Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

At Jackson Hogg Ltd, we are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cost Planning and Estimating: Develop accurate cost estimates for construction projects, taking into account materials, labor, and overhead costs.
  • Pre-contract Estimating: Provide pre-contract estimating services for UFH systems, ensuring that our clients receive accurate and reliable cost information.
  • Budget Control: Monitor and control project budgets, ensuring that costs are kept within estimated limits.
  • Procurement Advice: Provide expert advice on procurement strategies, ensuring that our clients receive the best value for their money.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring that our clients receive fair and reasonable terms.
  • Tender Support: Provide support to our tendering team, ensuring that our bids are accurate and competitive.
  • Post-Contract Cost Control: Monitor and control costs after contract award, ensuring that our clients receive value for money.
  • Valuations and Applications: Prepare and submit valuations and applications for payment, ensuring that our clients receive timely and accurate payments.
  • Final Accounts: Prepare and submit final accounts, ensuring that our clients receive accurate and reliable financial information.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in quantity surveying and cost management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
  • Proficient in construction software and systems.
