About the Role

Marie Curie UK is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Talent and Development to join our People & Organisational Development directorate. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of our talent management and development strategies, ensuring that our organisation has the necessary skills, knowledge, and experience to meet its business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and delivery of talent management and development strategies, aligning them with our business strategy, objectives, and values.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure that our talent management and development initiatives are aligned with our business goals.
  • Design and implement a roadmap for improving our talent and development maturity level, scaling up the organisation to a level where talent management is intrinsically connected to performance and business goals.
  • Lead an innovative and collegiate Talent & Development team, directing them in their provision of a high-quality, professional service.
  • Partner with our People and Organisational Senior Leadership Team to influence and align on the creation of an accountable, high-performing, and values-driven culture.
Requirements
  • Proven track record of delivering talent management solutions in large, complex organisations.
  • Expertise in talent management and development, having operated at senior level in this field within the private sector (essential). Experience in both private and third sector (desirable).
  • Experience in leading teams to provide high-impact and value-for-money L&D functions.
  • Experience in design, delivery, implementation, and running of organisational talent management and succession programmes.
  • Skilled in driving change and creating a culture of innovation.
