About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Compliance Specialist to join our People Shared Services Team at Parkdean Resorts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of UK payroll compliance and delivering exceptional service to both internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Payroll Reconciliations: Responsible for all payroll reconciliations, ensuring all reconciling items are accounted for and investigated and escalated appropriately.
  • Pension Scheme Compliance: Responsible for the compliance of our pension schemes, adhering to legislation and regulations and ensuring accurate submissions to the pension's providers.
  • Stakeholder Relationships: Build highly effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders and be the key point of contact representing the payroll team.
  • Legislative Compliance: Ensure awareness and full compliance with National Minimum & Living Wage and Working Time Directive.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Preparation of HMRC reporting files, gaining appropriate sign off and submitting to HMRC in line with legislation.
  • Third Party Payments: Preparation of Third Party Payments, gaining appropriate sign off and submission of payment and data to providers.
  • Legislative Knowledge: Maintain and share up to date knowledge of all relevant payroll legislation.
  • Team Support: Provide day-to-day support to the team and deputise for the People shared services manager when required.
  • Payroll Processing: Support with the timely and accurate processing of the weekly and monthly payroll.
  • Payroll System Support: Support with the payroll system.
  • HRMS System Maintenance: Responsible for accurate maintenance of HRMS system and data in line with GDPR.
  • Process Improvement: Identify process improvements and work with the People shared services manager to effectively implement and train team members.
  • Safeguarding: Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility, and you also have a duty to report all concerns and cooperate with management to enable it to comply with its health and safety and safeguarding accountabilities.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Qualified CIPP or qualified by payroll compliance experience.
  • Payroll Legislation: Strong knowledge of payroll legislation including NMW, HMRC and Pension legislation.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Organisational Skills: Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and spreadsheet skills.
  • Time Management: Able to prioritise workload effectively.
  • Flexibility: Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Teamwork: Able to work as part of a team.
  • Planning and Organisation: Strong planning, time management and organisational skills.
  • System Implementation: System implementation / system configuration experience is preferred but not essential.
What We Offer
  • Salary: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
