Position Overview

We are seeking a Lead Auditor specializing in ISO 27001 to join our esteemed consultancy, Maclean Moore Ltd. This role is designed for an experienced professional who can contribute to our long-term projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Formulate and execute detailed audit strategies that align with organizational risk evaluations and pertinent standards.
  • Perform audits of clients' Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) in accordance with ISO 27001, NIST, and other relevant frameworks to ensure compliance and highlight areas for enhancement.
  • Conduct impartial assessments of the ISMS, scrutinizing the design, implementation, and efficacy of information security measures.
  • Detect vulnerabilities, control deficiencies, and compliance failures through interviews, document analysis, testing protocols, and established auditing techniques.
  • Evaluate and document the organization's information security risks, generating audit reports that outline findings, recommendations, and corrective actions along with suggested mitigation strategies.
  • Engage with stakeholders across various sectors (IT, HR, Legal, etc.) to facilitate the effective implementation of corrective measures.
  • Work collaboratively with diverse client stakeholders to ensure adherence to Information Security Management policies, procedures, guidelines, and processes.
Essential Skills
  • Extensive experience with ISO 27001/2 standards in consulting, collaboration, implementation, and auditing is highly advantageous.
  • In-depth knowledge of information security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), GDPR, CIS, or similar.
  • Proven track record in planning, preparing, and executing both internal and external audits, including compliance audits.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Cyber/Information Security Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance.
  • Familiarity with industry best practices, Information Security Management tools, methods, techniques, and their applications, as well as ISMS-specific documentation structures and electronic evidence collection.
  • Strong expertise in audit planning, audit risks, information security process analysis, risk assessment methodologies, and internal auditing of Information Security Management Systems.
