Accounts Tax Assistant Manager

TPF Recruitment is proud to support a client in Hailsham in their search for an experienced Accounts & Tax Assistant Manager to join their dynamic team. This role offers a unique chance to work closely with the partners of the firm, providing a wide range of accounting and tax services.
Key Responsibilities- Accounts Production: Prepare and produce high-quality accounts for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
- Company Filings: Manage company filings and ensure compliance with statutory requirements, maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.
- Management Accounts: Prepare and review management accounts, providing valuable insights and recommendations to support business growth.
- Company Secretarial: Handle company secretarial duties, including maintaining statutory books and records, with attention to detail and precision.
- Tax Compliance: Manage both corporate and personal tax returns, ensuring timely and accurate submissions, and maintaining excellent relationships with clients.
- VAT Returns: Complete and submit VAT returns for clients, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Client Interaction: Directly support one of the practice's directors, liaising with clients on a regular basis, and providing exceptional customer service.
- Accounting Software Proficiency: Experience with Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, and preferably IRIS, with a strong understanding of accounting software and systems.
- General Practice Background: A strong background in general practice, with extensive knowledge of both corporate and personal taxes, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
- Professional Qualification: Ideally ACA, ACCA, or CTA qualified, with a commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with industry developments.
- Salary: Up to £60,500 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Expected Hours: No less than 24 hours per week, with flexibility to work from home and a healthy work-life balance.
