Accounts and Tax Assistant Manager

TPF Recruitment is delighted to support a client in Hailsham with the recruitment of an Accounts & Tax Assistant Manager / Manager to join their growing team. This role offers a unique chance to work closely with the partners of the firm, providing a wide range of accounting and tax services.
Key Responsibilities- Accounts Production: Prepare and produce accounts for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Company Filings: Manage company filings and ensure compliance with statutory requirements, maintaining up-to-date records.
- Management Accounts: Prepare and review management accounts, providing valuable insights and recommendations to support business growth.
- Company Secretarial: Handle company secretarial duties, including maintaining statutory books and records, ensuring seamless operations.
- Tax Compliance: Manage both corporate and personal tax returns, ensuring timely and accurate submissions, minimizing tax liabilities.
- VAT Returns: Complete and submit VAT returns for clients, ensuring compliance with VAT regulations.
- Client Interaction: Directly support one of the practice's directors, liaising with clients on a regular basis, building strong relationships.
- Accounting Software Proficiency: Experience with Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, and preferably IRIS, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
- General Practice Background: Strong background in general practice with extensive knowledge of both corporate and personal taxes, ensuring a deep understanding of tax laws and regulations.
- Professional Qualification: Ideally ACA, ACCA, or CTA qualified, demonstrating a high level of expertise in accounting and taxation.
- Competitive Salary: Up to £60,500.00 per year, reflecting the value of the role and the candidate's expertise.
