Design Manager Opportunity at O'Halloran & O'Brien Ltd

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Manager to join our team at O'Halloran & O'Brien Ltd. As a Design Manager, you will be responsible for managing the design process for design and build contracts, acting as the primary contact for design teams, clients, and production teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the design process for design and build contracts
  • Act as primary contact for design teams, client, and production teams
  • Advise on strategy and cost effectiveness of various methods of construction
  • Coordinate design and project information supplied to construction team
  • Manage compliance checks against specification and client requirements
  • Manage design output to agreed programme
  • Liaise with Local Authorities, Building Control, and Planning Departments

Requirements:

  • 5 to 10 years professional experience in a similar role for a Main Contractor/Developer
  • Good working knowledge of NHBC and building regulations
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and management skills essential
  • Candidate must be proactive, self-disciplined, organized, and motivated to develop
  • Design/Tech Management: 1 year (required)
  • Licence/Certification: CSCS card (required)
