Electrical Design Engineer

Beeby Anderson Recruitment is seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our MEP Building Services team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and line management to the electrical team, ensuring the successful delivery of multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Produce high-quality schematics, elevations, and details in AutoCAD, adhering to engineering directives, UK engineering standards, and internal drawing and quality procedures.
  2. Develop and check engineering calculations, demonstrating a thorough understanding of engineering principles.
  3. Support the team with primary project checking and reviews, resolving issues to maintain timeframes and quality compliance.
  4. Coordinate drawings and CAD with other disciplines, showcasing an understanding of other engineering principles.
  5. Organize the issue of drafted information, file documents, and maintain a working knowledge of appropriate engineering and industry standards.
  6. Assist with AutoCAD work as required and demonstrate initiative in the management and progress of design projects.
  7. Liaise professionally with external members of the design team and clients on technical subjects.
  8. Provide accurate and timely project updates and maintain a high standard of probity in professional, personal, and financial matters.
  9. Maintain good relations with colleagues and external partners.

Requirements:

  1. Degree or equivalent in electrical engineering.
  2. 2 years post-graduate experience in electrical building services design.
  3. High-level working knowledge of CAD.
  4. Working knowledge of UK design standards.
