We have several permanent and contract vacancies for multiple businesses across the UK and overseas. The below job description will outline this position of Marine Electrical Engineer based in Kent.

This role focuses on vessel maintenance and industrial electrical systems. You will apply expertise in:

  • 12V & 24V DC
  • 230V & 400V AC distribution and control systems

Ensuring efficient installation and maintenance. Proficiency in BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations) and Electricity at Work Regulations enables you to troubleshoot and repair electrical, control, and mechanical systems. You will perform scheduled maintenance and be available for overtime as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Proficient in vessel and industrial electrical distribution and control systems (12V & 24V DC, 230V & 400V AC).
  2. Skilled in electrical fitting, installation, and maintenance.
  3. Familiar with BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations) and Electricity at Work Regulations.
  4. Capable of working in confined spaces or climbing ladders as required.
  5. Use diagnostic and analytical skills to troubleshoot and repair electrical, control, and mechanical systems.
  6. Perform scheduled maintenance and be available for overtime as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements
  1. HNC in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent.
  2. Full UK Driving License.
  3. Required to travel to site in Gravesend, Kent.
