Job Description

NISI is seeking a skilled Payroll Officer to join our team. As a Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for providing an effective and accurate payroll service to our stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and process payroll records and controls for multiple organizations.
  • Administer statutory and occupational schemes of leave, including sickness, accidents, maternity, and paternity.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of employee deductions, including lease car deductions, union membership, health schemes, and court orders.
  • Ensure compliance with HMRC requirements for taxation and NI, and Essex Pension Fund for pensions.
  • Provide support and cover for the payroll service as needed.
Requirements
  • Experience in payroll processing and a recognized payroll qualification.
  • Up-to-date knowledge and experience of HMRC requirements.
  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Ability to work in a small team without supervision.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Aptitude for using and developing IT to support the payroll function.
