Payroll Officer

We are seeking a skilled Payroll Officer to join our team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing an effective and accurate payroll service to our stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:- Process and manage payroll for multiple organizations, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Maintain payroll records and controls, adhering to organizational policies and procedures.
- Administer statutory and occupational schemes, including leave, sickness, and maternity/paternity benefits.
- Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding payroll services.
- Ensure compliance with HMRC requirements for taxation and NI, and Essex Pension Fund for pensions.
- Experience in payroll processing and a recognized payroll qualification.
- Knowledge of iTrent and HMRC requirements for Tax, NI, SMP, SSP, and RTI reporting.
- Excellent numeracy and literacy skills, with the ability to work accurately under pressure.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with a flexible approach to duties and hours.
