Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled professional to contribute to our gas market analysis and assist in generating trade strategies for our gas trading operations. This role emphasizes quantitative analysis within the gas market.

Main Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with gas analysts, data engineers, and traders to enhance and maintain proprietary gas market models, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of European and global gas balances.
  • Formulate trading strategies based on thorough analysis of market fundamentals and data.
  • Uphold a high standard of quantitative accuracy in all analytical outputs, continuously monitoring and refining processes.
  • Create tools to track market trends and implied gas balances effectively.
  • Communicate insights and findings clearly to gas traders, analysts, and management.
  • Adapt to evolving market conditions and responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a gas analytics position.
  • Proficient in statistical analysis and quantitative methodologies.
Technical Skills

  • Advanced degree in engineering, sciences, mathematics, finance, or economics, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Python for data analysis; familiarity with Excel and SQL is advantageous.

Work Schedule:

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
