Job Title: Gas Analyst

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Gas Analyst to join our team at E1 EDF Trading Ltd. As a Gas Analyst, you will be responsible for contributing to gas market analysis and generating trade ideas to support gas trading by the EDFT gas desk.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with gas analysts, gas data engineers, and gas traders to maintain and further develop EDFT's proprietary gas market models.
  • Develop trading ideas based on analysis of fundamentals and market information.
  • Maintain a superior level of quantitative rigor in analysis and closely monitor accuracy of analytical output over time.
  • Develop tools to monitor market developments and implied gas balances.
  • Effectively communicate views and findings to gas traders and analysts, and to other EDFT traders, analysts, and management.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a gas analytics role.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and other quantitative techniques.
  • Advanced degree in engineering, sciences, math, finance, or economics or equivalent experience or relevant real-world experience.
  • Proficient in Python for data analytics.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and confident presenter.
  • Highly numerate.

Working Hours:

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
