About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Sonographer to join our team as an Advanced Practitioner in Gynaecology. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a comprehensive range of examinations, including general abdominal, obstetrics, and gynaecology, vascular, and small parts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a comprehensive range of examinations, including general abdominal, obstetrics, and gynaecology, vascular, and small parts.
  • Work closely with our supportive Radiologists and Obstetricians to promote specialist training in areas such as breast, head & neck, paediatrics, MSK, orbits, and small parts.
  • Participate in clinical governance, staff and resource management, and contribute to the development of the ultrasound department.
  • Provide high-quality patient care and imaging, with a focus on patient-centred care.
Requirements
  • A recognised Post Graduate CASE Accredited Ultrasound Qualification (e.g. DMU / Pg Dip / MSc)
  • UK professional registration as a Radiographer with the Health Professions Council or as a Midwife / Nurse with the RCN
  • Evidence of continued professional development in relevant subject

Person Specification
  • BSc(Hons) Diagnostic Radiography/DCR or equivalent in a health-related specialty e.g. midwifery, nursing
  • CASE accredited Post-graduate qualification in Ultrasound PG Dip or DMU (CASE accredited)
  • HPC or RCN Registration
  • Evidence of continued professional development in relevant subject
