Job Title: Planning and Systems Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Planning and Systems Accountant to join our team on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract. This role will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the systems elements of the Financial Planning, Reporting and Cost Turnaround workstream.

About the Role

As a Planning and Systems Accountant, you will work closely with the FP&A Planning and Systems Lead, and the Programme Manager and FP&A teams to help the business improve its ability to produce accurate, insightful, and timely financial forecasts. You will support the development of an integrated planning process and related systems to drive automation, efficiency, and confidence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with all elements of the core finance teams to support the implementation of an integrated planning process.
  • Provide support to the finance team regarding the planning process and system implementation by addressing queries and conducting training sessions, as necessary.
Requirements
  • Experience in financial planning/business partnering.
  • System experience with SAP and HFM.
  • Experience in an FP&A / Business Partnering function with a proven track record in 'adding value'.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to interact with people effectively.
  • Good knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures.
  • Good analytical, Excel (including financial modelling) and PowerPoint skills.
