We are seeking a highly skilled Planning and Systems Accountant to join our team at Thames Water. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of our financial planning and systems workstream.
About the RoleThis is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract opportunity that will see you working closely with our FP&A Planning and Systems Lead, Programme Manager, and FP&A teams to improve our ability to produce accurate, insightful, and timely financial forecasts.
Key Responsibilities- Support the implementation of an integrated planning process to drive automation, efficiency, and confidence.
- Work closely with all elements of the core finance teams to address queries and conduct training sessions as necessary.
- Provide support to the finance team regarding the planning process and system implementation.
- Experience in financial planning/business partnering with a proven track record in 'adding value'.
- System experience with SAP and HFM.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to interact with people effectively.
- Good knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures.
- Good analytical, Excel (including financial modelling) and PowerPoint skills.
- Competitive salary - £65,000 per annum depending on experience.
- Annual Leave 26 days holiday per year increasing to 30 with the length of service. (Plus bank holidays)
- Contributory pension – Defined Contribution - Maximum of 12% -2x employee contribution.
