Key Responsibilities:- Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance: Perform routine and reactive maintenance to meet equipment specifications and operational requirements.
- Proactive Line Support: Work closely with shift managers to assist with machinery setup and operations at the start of shifts.
- Breakdown Response: Act swiftly to diagnose and repair breakdowns, reducing downtime and ensuring smooth production flow.
- Asset Management: Maintain and inspect equipment to ensure optimal performance and long-term reliability.
- Collaborative Problem-Solving: Work with cross-functional teams to address safety or quality concerns and recommend improvements.
- Data-Driven Analysis: Analyse equipment failures and breakdowns to identify patterns and implement corrective actions.
- Contractor Supervision: Manage and oversee external contractors working on site, ensuring they adhere to safety protocols.
- Project Involvement: Assist in engineering and improvement projects, providing technical insights and hands-on support.
- Record Keeping: Accurately document maintenance activities, breakdowns, and repairs to ensure clear communication across teams.
- Fire Safety Support: Assist with the maintenance of fire protection systems and equipment.
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience: Background in a manufacturing/factory-based Maintenance environment, preferably within FMCG or Food.
- Skills:
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex systems.
- Experience in both reactive and preventive maintenance, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of safety and compliance regulations in a manufacturing setting.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work on a shift-based schedule.
- Competitive Salary: £45,000-£46,000 per annum.
