Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Diet Service Technician at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our dietetic team, you will be responsible for preparing milk feeds and therapeutic meals for children admitted to hospital.
Main Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare milk feeds and therapeutic meals in the Special Feeds Unit and Diet Kitchen.
- Work collaboratively with dietitians, dietetic assistants, and other team members to ensure smooth operation of the dietetic service.
- Handle confidential and sensitive information relating to patients and duties.
- Monitor and report any issues with production stock delivery and equipment performance.
- Check patient information and feed type to ensure accurate preparation of feeds and diets.
- Read and follow recipe instructions to prepare feeds and diets.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness of equipment and facilities.
- Report any broken equipment or facilities to the relevant authorities.

Requirements
- GCSE or equivalent in English and mathematics.
- Food Safety Level 2 certification.
- Previous experience in a customer service-related environment.

- Ability to lift and move equipment and supplies.
