Position Overview

Morson Talent is seeking a dedicated **Engineer - Civil, Structural & Architectural** to join our team on a contractual basis. This role is pivotal in delivering safe and efficient engineering solutions within the nuclear sector.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Delivering specialized engineering services within the Engineering department to ensure the successful execution of projects.
  • Engaging in various phases of the project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design execution, and oversight of construction and commissioning activities.
  • Providing expert technical guidance and support in specific areas of engineering expertise.
Accountabilities

In this role, you will:

  • Offer project and design support to Project Managers, ensuring compliance with established standards and participation in project meetings.
  • Prepare relevant design documentation in line with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop specifications for contractors and oversee their performance to ensure adherence to project timelines and specifications.
  • Supervise contractor activities, including the management of Method Statements and Risk Assessments, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Create realistic project plans and schedules to facilitate the delivery of improvements and projects in a safe and cost-effective manner.
  • Maintain a record of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) through on-the-job training and external learning opportunities.
Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:

  • A degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Incorporated or Chartered status is preferred, or a clear action plan to achieve such status.
Experience Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A solid understanding of engineering and construction design principles within a regulated environment.
  • Completion of an engineering graduate program (3-4 years) or equivalent experience in a highly regulated industry.

This contract role is contingent upon successful completion of:

  • Security Clearance
  • Medical assessments, including drug and alcohol testing
