The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our team at The Accountancy Recruitment Group Ltd. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent finance graduate or someone currently pursuing their AAT qualification to gain valuable experience in a rapidly expanding and ambitious business.
As an Accounts Assistant, you will work closely with our Finance Manager and Senior Management team to assist with various financial tasks, including:
- Supporting the Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger functions
- Analysing sales and purchase ledgers
- Banking reconciliations
- Journal entries
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Monthly accounts preparation
- Expenses
- VAT returns
- Fixed asset management
- Processing balance sheets and income statements according to financial guidelines
- Month-end and year-end close assistance
- Ad-hoc project tasks and reporting as required
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills, gain exposure to a fast-paced and varied working environment, and work closely with stakeholders at all levels.
Key Responsibilities
As an Accounts Assistant, your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing administrative support to the Finance Manager and Senior Management team
- Assisting with financial reporting and analysis
- Preparing and reconciling financial statements
- Managing fixed assets and expenses
- Coordinating month-end and year-end close processes
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A strong understanding of financial principles and practices
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- AAT qualification or recent finance graduate
