Job Overview

Wright Staff Recruitment Ltd is seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for providing on-site technical support and repair services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform field-based repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment, including hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
  • Conduct site visits to diagnose and repair equipment issues, ensuring minimal downtime for our clients.
  • Provide technical advice and assistance to customers, both on-site and through phone or email support.
  • Maintain accurate records of service activities, including repair history and maintenance schedules.
  • Collaborate with the Service and Parts Manager to ensure efficient repair processes and optimal stock levels.
  • Identify and report any failure trends or equipment issues to the Service and Parts Manager.
  • Comply with company engineering policies and procedures at all times.

Requirements:

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as part of a regional team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a confident and polite manner when interacting with customers and service providers.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Full driving license from the UK.
  • Self-motivation and reliability.
  • Willingness to travel frequently and at short notice within the UK.
