Ackerman Pierce is seeking an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our well-structured and dynamic team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work from home, with a fair and manageable caseload and further training in their portfolio. The initial contract will be for 3-6 months, with potential for extension.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments of service users and carers with complex needs in relation to their home environment.
  • Utilize expertise in Moving and Handling, as well as Single-handed care knowledge, to ensure safe and effective care.
  • Assess and treat patients requiring ward-based rehabilitation and assessment for discharge planning.
  • Collaborate with the Team Manager and partner agencies to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Provide expert advice and intervention regarding complex manual handling situations.
  • Undertake assessments and documentation associated with Blue Badge applications.
  • Develop and implement functional assessments and provide expert advice on equipment and home modifications.
  • Recommend adaptations to ensure safe and accessible living environments.
  • Maintain awareness of safeguarding vulnerable people and uphold dignity and respect in all interactions.
