Ackerman Pierce is seeking a skilled Community Occupational Therapist to join our team in Doncaster. As a Community Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in reducing double-handed care packages and improving the lives of our service users.
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments of service users and carers with complex needs in relation to their home environment.
- Provide expert advice and assessments for equipment and home modifications to support independence and safety.
- Develop and implement adaptations to reduce or minimize the need for care packages.
- Maintain awareness of safeguarding vulnerable people and uphold dignity and respect in all interactions.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as an Occupational Therapist in a community setting.
- Manual handling experience and knowledge of moving and handling assessments.
- HCPC registration and eligibility to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS/CRB clearance (we can assist with obtaining this).
- Occupational Therapist qualification and a passion for delivering high-quality care.
